DeWitt -- Sergt. Frank BLOOM, 25, was killed in action Jan. 3, in Belgium, according to a telegram received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. BLOOM, this morning from the War department. Sgt. BLOOM was a paratrooper.

He is survived by his parents, three brothers and three sisters: Thomas who is serving in the European war area; Louis and Charles home; Mrs. Alberta MARRON and Florence BLOOM, both of Davenport, and Mrs. Josephine DEARBORN of DeWitt.
