Howdy!

I realized the other day that I have done no significant work on genealogy since 2010. That had to change with the recent marriages of my children and the birth of my first granddaughter. I can now understand that my traumatic brain injury (TBI) in October, 2010 turned off all interest in, awareness of, and motivation to perform what was previously a sizeable portion of my free time--pursuing genealogical leads, documenting facts, maintaining the database. Now I can see the need to update more recent families and relatives. And there is still the need to connect the Blooms to German roots.

Every time a parent, grandparent, aunt, or uncle dies, a treasure trove of valuable genealogical information is lost forever. This website is an attempt to share what we have learned about the family histories of Tom Bloom and Ande Tragni.

My father's older brother Frank Bloom was in the army in WWII. He was killed in 1945 at the Battle of the Bulge. His diary, many of his letters, military goods, and so forth are available and presented here.
