- World War I draft registration card from June 5, 1917 lists his profession as a stenographer for the Chicago Daily News. He lived at 4454 Sheridan Road in Chicago, Illinois. He was described as medium build, slender, and with brown eyes and brown hair.
On a World War II draft registration card (probably dated from 1941 or 1942 because his age is listed as 50, but no date is written on the card), he lives at 603 Thatcher Avenue in River Forest (Cook County), Illinois. He works for Surgical Publishing Company on 54 East Erie Street in Chicago. He is married.
